Okotoks Show & Shine in Okotoks Alberta

This was the 2023 Okotoks Show and Shine that took place in Okotoks Alberta, did you make it out to the show? There was a large turnout for the Car Show, even-though the show was in a different location, I hope it is put back downtown next year personally, but we'll see how that goes I guess.

Do you attend car shows? If so, do you like the classic cars or the more modern cars, what is your preference? I like all kinds of cars, both new and old, there are just certain cars that appeal to different viewers. I think, as far as I can see, that I seem to like the more sleek and flashy kind of car, that is what I am guessing at this point, what do you think?

MiniMoto Challenge in Calgary Alberta

This is what we found on the weekend, it was an interesting event, do you think you can keep yourself balances well enough on those small motorbikes or scooters to beat out the rest of the competitors? The people that put it on were fantastic, make you feel welcome and even offer you a snack and a drink. Dog Agility at the All Breed Dog Show in Spruce Meadows Calgary Alberta

Were you fortunate and you were able to make it out to the Alberta Kennel Club All Breed Dog Show that took place at Spruce Meadows over the long weekend? It's been a few years since we have been able to make it to a live show and we thoroughly enjoyed it. 

There were numerous events going on in different rings, you can't say there wasn't enough to see. The entrance fee was reasonable and parking was free, what more can a person ask for? We've been out to Spruce Meadows for a few different events now and it never disappoints. I think my favourite so far is definitely this All Breed Dog Show that took place.

This Classic Brings Back Memories

I remember my dad having old cars like this, it sure brings back memories for me. They were large cars and in some ways felt regal, I think the regal feel came from the auto being so spacious. We needed a spacious car as there were six kids in our family, OMG right? But, that's a whole other story, needless to say I did not carry on the tradition of having a passel of kids, nope.  I'm not saying having a lot of kids is a bad thing, all I'm saying is that it's certainly not for me.

That was way off topic wasn't it? Back to the Car Show we went to in Black Diamond, expect more pics from that show as days go by, don't ask me why, just understand that I do like pretty cars. Cars that are well taken care of, I suppose I like a great number of items that look like they have been well taken care of.

Want to wander to another topic? Well okay, there were times in the past I looked into the passenger side of some persons vehicles that I knew and wow, what a mess, knee deep in fast food wrappers and so on, who would do that? Why would you do that? I somehow can't see the benefit of doing so, but I suppose that's just me.
 

Alberta Summer Games - BMX in Okotoks Alberta July 23, 2023

Alberta Summer Games BMX competition, this was the final day of the BMX competition, it was nice to watch, there were a couple of mishaps, hopefully all ended okay for all participants. These youth are certainly talented with their BMX cycles, from what we can see they definitely have to hit those humps, (Are they called humps?"), correctly or you can end up face down, or up, on the track. 

Only my opinion, the youth may get a bit more nervous too when there ore more people watching, but we are just guessing. We personally think they all did splendidly, like seeing the youth out there getting involved in activities. 

If I could go back in time I would get more involved, I would choose a wider range of activities. When I was going to High School, I was in, Cross country running, basketball and volleyball, played a bit of softball here and there too. We didn't have much for water activities back then, I think Kayaking would have been cool to learn.

Did you make it out to see some of the Alberta Summer Games that took place in Okotoks Alberta? We were out at some of the events or the 3 days when they were taking place and we enjoyed them. It's nice to see the youth getting involved in sports and working hard to do the best they can. 

I was involved in a few sports when I was younger but not to the extent of being good enough to be invited to the Summer Games, but I'm older, so I don't think Summer Games may have even been around where I was living at that point in time. Black Diamond Parade - Pete the Plumber Pickup was Outstanding

We got you all some footage of the Black Diamond parade, as an FYI Black Diamond is now known as Diamond Valley, they have merged the two towns; Black Diamond and Turner Valley. Anyhow the parade was much better than we expected in all honesty and we did manage to get some good footage, thankfully.

The Pete the Plumber truck really got my attention, not only because the truck is awesome but so is their Mascot which is in the box of the truck, great marketing there. You need to be unique to stand out in the business world nowadays. Watch the video, Kudos to Pete the Plumber on a great Business Presence, from a marketing standpoint. We've actually used their plumbing services in the past as well, but no, we are certainly not sponsored by them in any way.

World of Wheels Show Calgary AB Green Motorcycle

Here we go, isn't she a beauty? The work done on this motorcycle is absolutely phenomenal, that is talent. We're out here trying to take in the shows that allow filming, bringing the sights to any and all people that couldn't get out personally to see what was taking place. Follow along with us, at the moment we're mostly working in the area of Southern Alberta, but hopefully over time we can expand outwards a bit more.
