Getting a Weebly Account.

You can sign up at Weebly for free to create a powerful, professional website now. With Weebly you’ll get free hosting, an easy to use drag and drop editor and 100s of pre-made themes that you can choose from. As for us we use the Pro version of Weebly, this enables us to have up to 10 sites all for one low price; if you stay with free you get two websites; which is fine for many people.

With Weebly you do not need to have your own domain name but I would highly recommend getting one. Purchasing your domain name is not covered with your Weebly membership. But, you can easily buy your own Domain Name through Weebly. Domain names are usually under $10, but that all depends on the name you want for your business.

The Pro version of Weebly offers a video player that can automatically convert your video files for playback directly on your Weebly site. A bonus with the Pro version is that you can also have password protected pages, or if you like you can password protect your whole website; it’s all up to you.

How about the ability to upload 100 mb files instead of 5 mb files? This is what you get with the pro version, larger files uploads. With the free version you cannot remove or change the Weebly footer link, which to me is no big deal but some may want to do this, you can do this with the Pro Version.

What can we say about the ability to embed documents, I say it’s a very useful tool; this is also an option with the Pro version of Weebly. We use Weebly for the MI Petro site and a personal story line Blog at the moment, we will be adding more in the future. Our Thoughts to You Story Line Blog needs quite a few more great stories added to it; which will be added under the Blog tab.
