Here is one of the first liven events we went to and decided to give Vlogging a try. There is a fairly steep learning curve, but of course that all depends on what exactly you want to do and how detailed you want it to be. On the other side of the coin you have to keep in mind that many viewers don't seem to want to watch anything for too long a period of time.

As new Vloggers we thought this HACSA even was a great place to start, great action, great Medieval garb, made me long for a different time. Was life a bit more regal back then or were people forced to be more real as there were definite consequences to actions back in that time. Having said this, this Blog will not become political, going to do our best to stay away from that. Come on along and venture through life with us.

Ignore the old and move on with the new

I put in a pretty picture from when we went on a short cruise to Ketchikan Alaska just to get your attention. I am going to leave the majority of the old posts here and move this Blog in a new direction. 

This is going to be all about life, how we are living life and what we hope to do in the future. We have recently become Vloggers and Bloggers and we truly hope that we can make this work.

We are presently located in Okotoks Alberta Canada, we do not have any intention of moving in the near future, but we will see what the possibilities are down the road.

How we remove snow in Okotoks AB

 

 

Don't let the title mislead you, I think people remove snow the same way in most snowy locations.

Of course that is providing you have a backpack snow blower.

Here we are in Alberta Canada and this is how we personally remove the snow.

This has been an overly long winter, sure looking forward to an actual spring.

The backpack snowblower really makes moving snow much easier, providing the snow is not so compacted that the blower does not have enough force to move it.

If the blower fails, out comes the snow shovel.

Talk about Blogging

It's been so relaxing I haven't posted here since March 2013, it's nearly Christmas 2013. We're going to go way off topic here. You see, many things in my life have changed since the last time I posted an article here or anywhere else really. Stop guessing, I certainly have not won any type of lottery or come into some grand inheritance... life's just been busy and priorities change.

Saying it has been relaxing since the time of my last posting is an exaggeration of course, it's been anything but. I have learned many facts about human nature and at least 90% of them will not make a person smile.

Shall you be the king of the jungle or a minion of the mindless? I show to you a blank canvas, but how do we acquire one that is fresh and free to draw upon? You will need a corn broom to bat the wasps that guard the stock. Let's flip now, have you ever been on the hiring end of a company and have you been through a few interviews with potential employees in the last while? Oh, how I wish there were a magic Genie who could miraculously find the ideal employee... but alas, thus far I have not found that Genie.

Soon, I intend to get back to being me. I have gathered a large amount of data over the past months and I will strive to share some of it with you soon. You don't have to talk about just business ideas when you are blogging but you need to follow specific patterns they do say. Well really you don't but if you want your words of wisdom to be found, you do need a certain concentration of words that you wish to be found with. The search engines, as well all know, shall bring you the followers.

Bad Service - Does it Grate on You?

Let’s talk about bad service and how it affects you when you’re on the receiving end of it? There are many things that make you wonder as to why you receive the bad service; is it just you or do they treat the majority of customers in the same manner as they do you? Let me say from personal experience I have found it was more than just myself that was on the receiving end of less than remarkable customer service.

I do not expect the clerk to jump through hoops and be forced to tolerate overly rude and demanding customers; but I think most of us would like to be greeted with a sincere smile and at least be shown that they put in an effort to be pleasant and helpful. I for one do not like to leave a store or place of business and feel worse than before I got there, as if I have been affronted. Unfortunately for me, the bad service that I sometimes experience tends to stick with me for quite some time, and I will do my best to not return to this place of business if at all possible.

Today I was searching for online business ideas and came across an article that gives you some great ideas on how to start an online business for $100 and stick it to the man. The article goes through several helpful steps from finding an affordable Web Host and getting free logos and design work.

Most of us already know where we can get bonus income; at least those of us that are hoping to make a go of it with an online business that does not cost thousands of dollars to start up. Why more people want to Work from Home

If you’ve been out in the workforce lately you are probably more than aware of the abuse that goes on. Employees bicker between themselves and then on the other hand there is the claim of favoritism that takes place between supervisors and those in their charge.

This is not only about supervisors; it can run all the way to the top, the supervisor may not have gotten the position on work related merits as well. The problem leads to the top of the chain in many situations, the top of the chain that is often unaware of what is going on; supervisors may only be reporting events as they pick and choose. People want to work from home in the hopes of avoiding the daily conflicts that can take place in the office.

We often do not see things as clearly as we should, we tend to be partial to ourselves; we first need to make sure that what we believe to be true is an actual fact. The discontent of the workforce seems rather apparent to me, there are those that work hard and do not get recognition and then there are those that abuse the system and get away with it. We’ve all been there, over time it starts to eat away at us; eventually making you dread going in to work. Forced to pretend that all is okay and having to turn the other cheek time and time again to keep the peace.
