Why more people want to Work from Home

If you’ve been out in the workforce lately you are probably more than aware of the abuse that goes on. Employees bicker between themselves and then on the other hand there is the claim of favoritism that takes place between supervisors and those in their charge.

This is not only about supervisors; it can run all the way to the top, the supervisor may not have gotten the position on work related merits as well. The problem leads to the top of the chain in many situations, the top of the chain that is often unaware of what is going on; supervisors may only be reporting events as they pick and choose. People want to work from home in the hopes of avoiding the daily conflicts that can take place in the office.

We often do not see things as clearly as we should, we tend to be partial to ourselves; we first need to make sure that what we believe to be true is an actual fact. The discontent of the workforce seems rather apparent to me, there are those that work hard and do not get recognition and then there are those that abuse the system and get away with it. We’ve all been there, over time it starts to eat away at us; eventually making you dread going in to work. Forced to pretend that all is okay and having to turn the other cheek time and time again to keep the peace.
There is that adage that says ‘what goes around comes around’, many have lost faith in even that. We question as to the why and how of it all? As to myself I will hang onto that adage, I have witnessed it in action a few times. I am fortunate though, I have the option of working from home. But, on the down side, money is not regular, at least not for me. We either put in the time and effort required to successfully work from home or we bust our butts trying to find a job where you will at least feel comfortable in their workplace atmosphere. It’s all about sanity and holding onto, at least, our remaining sanity.

You are not alone in your discontent in the public workforce; many have been there, are presently there or will be there again in the future. We must stand up for ourselves, but we must also have integrity. There are those that are inherently good and a joy to be around and then there are those that raise your ire with their mere presence. It’s a sad state of affairs when we find that we work close by an employee, or for an employer, that is deceitful and has absolutely no consideration for you as an individual.

The world is not all about you and we must learn to get along with others as our equals, no matter which position they hold. As an example; I have been treated better by Doctors than I’ve been treated by a salesclerk or cashier at a store. I’m more equal statistically to a cashier than I am to a Doctor; this is why I use this as an example. I will say that I have had a wide gamut of friends/acquaintances that range from Doctors and Lawyers to the actual street living urchin, from all of these I have encountered the most disrespect from the average working middle class citizen.

As a child I was taught to say please and thank you, I think most of us were; where did it all go so wrong?
