Grain Elevators in Alberta Canada

Grain elevators have played a significant role in the agricultural history of Alberta, Canada since the early 20th century. These tall, cylindrical or square structures were used to store and transport wheat, barley, and other grains from farms to urban markets across the country. However, with the rise of modern transportation and storage technologies, many of these elevators have become obsolete and abandoned. Nevertheless, they remain a significant part of the landscape and history in rural Alberta.

Despite the fact that many of these grain elevators are no longer in use, they continue to hold important symbolic and cultural significance for the local communities in which they are located. Many people see these structures as a reminder of a simpler time when agriculture was the backbone of the economy and people's daily lives were much different than they are today. Additionally, grain elevators are a common subject in Canadian art and literature, with many artists and writers using them as a symbol of rural life and culture.

Although many grain elevators have been demolished or repurposed over the years, there are still a number of them that remain standing across the province of Alberta. Some of these structures have been maintained and preserved as local landmarks, while others have fallen into disrepair and become a source of frustration and concern for their communities. Nevertheless, it is clear that these grain elevators hold an important place in the history and culture of Alberta, and their preservation and legacy will continue to be an important topic of discussion and debate for years to come.

Christmas Markets that were in Okotoks and Millarville

These markets have already passed but watching the video may give you some ideas of what you could get for your loved ones, or even yourself. Let's talk about the joys of a smaller town local Market, it of course is way different than going to a large shopping mall. People are much more friendly I find and the majority of them are willing to tell you all about what they have on display. To add to that, the products that you can buy there, at least the ones you can eat, tend to be very tasty.

I would say, even if you are not interested in purchasing anything major you should get out and take a look around, you never know what you find or what friendships you may form. KassDays hopes to see you out there somewhere in the future. BTW I think the Saskatoon Farm is having their Holiday Market this coming December 1st to 3rd, hope to see you there.

Shopping with KassDays

The person that is writing this article is a female, in case you are wondering, I am the same person that wanted all of those wonderful blingy rings. When you don't want to spend, or can't afford to spend, a lot of money but still need to satisfy that shopping urge, you may need to consider purchasing great looking items at a lower price.

Of course if you are going for economical it is likely that jewellery is not real gold but hey, it soothes the wandering gypsy inside of me, makes me want to dress up and wander about aimlessly. Is that a good thing? Well maybe, if I'm wandering about in nature with a camera in hand, I'm hoping it is all good. Watch the video, leave a comment on the video in YouTube and let us know what item you liked most out of the video.

Red Currant Jam - How to Make

When we created this video it was the end of the summer growing season and we managed to get enough Red Currants off of our bushes to make a nice batch of Red Currant Jam, Of course there is someone in this household that absolutely loves his red currant jam so we can't bypass making the jam if we have enough of our own berries. I'm not a fan of seedy jam, and currants have a lot of seeds so we made our own kind of system to remove the majority of the seeds and it turned out quite nice I would have to say.

Being a person that does not mind creating, whether it be great food or works of fine art, I love creating so this is not a big deal to me. Straying way off topic now, I have to say that I must make way more time to work with my fine arts materials, I need to create, that brings me happiness.

One of the main benefits of renting a scooter from Scoot City is the convenience it offers. You can pick up your scooter from their location and head straight out to Red Rock Canyon, which is just a short ride away. No need to worry about finding parking or navigating public transport! We went on a guided tour with Scoot City as we are not familiar with that area at all, being from Calgary Alberta Canada.

Once you arrive at Red Rock Canyon, you are given time to explore at your leisure. The scenic loop drive offers breathtaking views of the surrounding desert landscape, with plenty of opportunities to stop and take photos. There are also several hiking trails in the area, ranging from easy strolls to challenging hikes for experienced hikers. Kass and Mag's Amazing Trip to Cozumel Mexico

Cozumel, Mexico, is a popular tourist destination that offers a perfect blend of breathtaking natural scenery, vibrant culture, and rich history. It attracts people from all over the world who are looking for a memorable vacation experience. In 2015, Kass and Mag had the opportunity to visit this beautiful place and explore its wonders. They stayed at the Aura Resort, which is a luxurious resort right at the heart of the island, and went on a tour to Chichen Itza, one of the most famous archaeological sites in Mexico.

The Aura Resort is a top-notch accommodation that offers guests a wide range of amenities and services designed to make their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. It is located on the beautiful San Francisco beach, which boasts crystal-clear waters and soft white sand. Kass and Mag enjoyed the resort's infinity pool, which offered a stunning view of the Caribbean Sea. They also indulged in the resort's delicious food, refreshing drinks, and outstanding customer service.

Apart from relaxing at the resort, Kass and Mag went on a cultural adventure to the ancient Mayan ruin of Chichen Itza. This UNESCO World Heritage site is located in the Yucatan Peninsula and is famous for its iconic pyramid El Castillo, which served as a Mayan temple and astronomical observatory. Kass and Mag were fascinated by the intricate details of the structures and the historical significance of the site. They learned about the fascinating history of the Mayan civilization, its rituals and traditions, and how they built such impressive structures without modern technology.

In summary, Kass and Mag's trip to Cozumel, Mexico, was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. They had an unforgettable time at the luxurious Aura Resort, where they were pampered and treated like royalty. They also explored the historical wonder of Chichen Itza, which gave them a glimpse of the rich and vibrant culture of Mexico. Cozumel remains one of the best vacation spots in the world, and Kass and Mag's trip is a testament to that.
