How can you turn Yard Sales into a work from home business that earns for you? Start with going through your house and making a pile of the things you no longer need or use. Odds are pretty good that there are quite a few items in your home that can be put into one of the first Yard Sales you put on.
That will only get you one or two Yard Sales though, how do you get more material for future Sales? There are numerous ways, one method that many use is to go to other Yard Sales and make bargains on items you find of interest; if they won’t give you a fair price, pass it by.
Another way of getting more material for your work from home business in yard sales is to become a member of one of the Auction Sites. If you can get a brand new item for just cents, you’re sure to make a profit. One site I have won a few auctions on is TripleClicks; just yesterday I got a silver piece for just .60cents, can’t beat that. Let’s not forget about Flea Markets, you can generally get some pretty good deals there. If you know what to look for in the Flea Market arena, you may find some hidden treasures as well. If you want to branch out, once in a while instead of having Yard Sales you can rent a table at the Flea Market; it’s still a work from home business way of earning income.
As we all know, depending on where you live, Yard Sales just can’t happen year round, hard to have Yard Sales at -20. In the winter months you may just want to opt for the Flea Market Table once a month or so, depending on if you have the goods and if you need the income.
You need to find out what attracts the buyers, really watch when you have people coming to take a look, see if there is a pattern. If you see a general trend you may want to study it a bit more. Perhaps they are always drawn to electronics, if so make sure you show this in the front of your items to draw them in to take a closer look. Make sure they can see it as they slowly drive by; if the item is small make sure you note it on a sign at the end of your drive that these items are present.
Offer free coffee to your viewers and when they come by, if you're already planning another one of your Yard Sales you need to make sure you let them know. You need to be crafty to get ahead in any work from home business and people skills are very important. Give them what they want, make sure they feel that they got a great deal.
